a balanced stay
central location customer service elegant staircase noisy shaft exposed switches sleep disruption
the location is central and allowed me to easily reach many destinations. i found the staff to be customer service oriented and attentive. the building has a beautiful staircase adding a touch of elegance.
the lift shaft behind my room was noisy throughout the night. this noise affected my sleep. the electrical trip switch was hanging off the wall and switches were exposed.

a surprisingly good stay
central location room upgrade historic lobby secure luggage storage
The location was central. It really helped me explore the city. i got a complimentary upgrade to a room with a window, which i appreciated. the lobby felt grand and historic. the staff allowed me to leave my bags safely both before and after my stay.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. Some areas showed signs of wear.

The hotel staff provided assistance with luggage storage before check-in. They gave me a numbered tag for secure retrieval. the reception area had several staff members available to answer questions, and they were readily available at the front desk.

my double room was a good size. it included tea and coffee making facilities with ample supplies. an extra blanket was also provided in the wardrobe, and i found extra towels available in the bathroom.

The hotel's location is central. This makes accessing shops and restaurants very easy. the train station is a short walk away. the coach station is very close. You can see it from the hotel.

the hotel is in a great place. the historic building have a grand interior. the bar was very interesting and great too.
the reception staff has problems with understanding regional accents.
